Beaver Creek Ski Holidays

Beaver Creek is located 10 miles to the West of Vail and is a very upmarket resort with high quality hotels and condos right on the slopes. It first opened in 1980 with the vision of providing an upmarket European feel to its village. As with most of the North American resorts, it is well catered for families with Kids Adventure Zones throughout the area. Beaver Creek is made up of three on mountain villages – Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Village. Beaver Creek Village is the main place to stay as it is the heart of the resort and is simply perfect with its heated walkways and easy access to the slopes. The lodgings in Beaver Creek are pretty much all ski in and are accessed by connecting trails and bridges. Bachelor Gulch is home to the Ritz Carlton and Arrowhead is made up of luxury condos that are less expensive than Beaver Creek. The little town of Avon sits at the foot of the valley floor and is a more economical option for some to stay in if they want to keep costs down but still ski Beaver Creek. There is a good free shuttle service up to the lifts. It is easy to travel to Breckenridge, Vail and Keystone for day trips during your stay and this is all covered in your area Epic pass. Copper Mountain is also nearby but on a different lift pass.

Ski Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek has most of its runs below the tree line and is split into the two main areas of Spruce Saddle and Bachelor Gulch. Beginners will find there are plenty of green runs at the summit and they will simply love the treatment from the Beaver Creek ski school that will have them guiding down the runs in no time at all. Intermediates will just love the top to bottom long runs where they can stretch their legs to the max. Intermediates will be able to cover a huge area of the mountain on offer and will love the fact that they can mix it up with a day in one of the neighbouring resorts Vail or Keystone for fun! Grouse Mountain is the place to head for those advanced skiers and snowboarders as it  offers full on steep and deep. There are also huge moguls to wind through and get your hearts racing. Beaver Creek also offers its fair share of terrain parks with a couple of beginner’s parks and the Moonshine with big jumps and rails for experts.

Beaver Creek Apres Ski

Off the slopes, life is full of culture and excitement in Beaver Creek. Take in the galleries and the works of art throughout the village. The Villar performing arts centre hosts symphonies, ballet, Broadway musicals and film and many other entertainment options for you after a day on the slopes. There is also ice music in the Crystal Grotto. The ice rink is a must to have a skate during your stay and there are also bonfire evenings, tubing, hot air balloon rides and dog sledding. The Dusty Boot Saloon, the Blue Moose, McCoy’s and the Coyote Cafe have all been recommended for an evening drink and a boogie.

Beaver Creek Childcare

The Small World Childcare is operated by Vail Resorts and will look after children from 0830hrs through until 1630hrs. This is available for children aged 2 months to 6 years old.
